The young Hatters enjoyed a pre-match meal at Edgeley Park before departing at 2.30pm, on the first-team coach, ahead of tonight's FA Youth Cup tie at Carlisle.

Speaking to stockportcounty.com youth coach Craig Madden said: "Carlisle have started the season quite well so it will be a test for us.

"But if we play to our potential then it will give us a great chance and I'll be happy with that."

Kick off time at Brunton Park is 7.00pm
