Greg is another promising youngster who has made his way through our successful Centre of Excellence.
The Huyton-born midfielder made his professional debut in our JPT Trophy victory at Macclesfield in October 2006 and he also figured in the final three games of the campaign
Greg then scored two brilliant goals to help County's Under-18 side lift the prestigious Football League Youth Alliance League Cup
His performance in the final alerted Liverpool and he joined their squad, along with his County teammate Ryan Crowther, for the Reds summer tour to Italy.
Whilst Crowther moved to Anfield in a substantial six-figure deal Tansey decided to stay with County and fight for a first-team place.
