Jim Gannon received a boost ahead of the crucial promotion-clash at Wycombe when Anthony Pilkington declared himself fit after limping out of Friday's Cheshire derby victory over Macclesfield.
The County boss made one change, though, when he rested Ashley Williams who joins the Welsh squad tomorrow to prepare for Wednesday's game in Luxembourg. Michael Raynes got the nod to partner Gaz Owen.
There was no Shaleum Logan, though. The defender strained his groin at training yesterday and has returned to Manchester City for treatment.
There was little to choose between the teams in the first half and chances were at a premium.
Tommy Rowe sliced an early chance wide with Anthony Pilkington coming close with a powerful low drive just before the break.
The Chairboys best chance came on 44 minutes when Russell Martin's deep cross from the right found Leon Knight at the far post. His effort, though, was well off target.
Half-time: Wycombe 0 County 0
Wycombe had a great chance to take the lead three minutes after the break. Holt crossed from the left and McGleish looked certain to score when he headed the ball back across goal but Michael Rose appeared in the nick of time to head the ball behind.
Two minutes later Pilkington had a chance but his shot was tame and Fielding saved.
Fielding was a lucky man on 73 minutes when he brought Dickinson down on the edge of the box. The referee brandished yellow, not red.
Both sides made double substitutions in an attempt to win the game.
Ten minutes from time Ruddy made a terrific save from Stefan Oakes low free kick.
County responded with a left foot effort from David Poole that was off target.
The Chairboys scored two own goals in their 6-0 defeat at Edgeley Park before Christmas and they almost made it three in stoppage time. Tommy Doherty's header from Rose's cross brought a great save out of his own 'keeper.
Then, in the final minute, Dickinson broke down the right and played the ball into Rowe at the near post. The youngster tried to play the ball back to Poole but slipped at the crucial moment and the chance had gone.
