County left it late, but it could have been a lot better as they had two penalty decisions turned down.
Jim Gannon made six changes as he tried to freshen up his squad after the double trip to Staines in midweek.
Conrad Logan, as expected, returned in goal with Matt McNeil moved from centre-forward to centre-back to partner Gaz Owen; Michael Raynes made way.
David Poole replaced Adam Proudlock on the right with Jason Taylor moved to central midfield instead of Greg Tansey.
Keith Briggs came in alongside Taylor - Paul Turnbull dropped to the bench - with Michael Bowler playing right back.
Liam Dickinson, who missed the Cup defeat through illness, had recovered sufficiently to partner Anthony Elding up front.
Tommy Rowe, a penalty scorer on Thursday, started his first game this season on the left; Adam Griffin made way.
The first chance of the game fell to Kyle Nix who got on the end of a quick throw to put a shot in on goal, that was never going to trouble Conrad Logan.
Michael Rose's snapshot from the edge of the area was only inches away from goal, after the referee played advantage following a foul on Anthony Elding.

Gareth Owen had to produce a wonderful block to deny Ndumbu-Nsungu on the 20th minute when Kyle Nix put a nice cross in to the box.
In truth this was a very dull game, played at a very low tempo and so when Gareth Evans launched a 40 yard shot that was never going to truble the County keeper it seemed that both sides were running out of ideas.
County thought they were ahead though when Michael Rose launched a cross into the box that Dickinson turned home. However Elding was adjudged to be off-side and so the scores remained level.
On the 35th minute Matty McNeil out-muscled Wetherall to get a header in on goal from a Michael Bowler cross, as this labourious game ticked down for half-time.
Bradford had a chance of their own when Darren Williams put a cross into the box for Ndumbu-Nsungu, but Matty McNeil headed the ball away before Michael Bowler smashed the ball clear.
Heckingbotham's free-kick on the edge of the area following a needless tackle by Jason Taylor went well wide as the half-time whistle went.
It wasn't pretty to watch with no corners and no real shots on goal, but a half-time County were certainly the happiest of the two camps.

Second Half
Anthony Elding had a great chance to score from close range, getting on the end of a good Liam Dickinson turn and pass. The keeper saved the ball, as it headed for the bottom left hand corner.
Keith Briggs set up a great counter attack for Liam Dickinson, but the big striker's first touch let him down as County started to pepper the Bradford goal.
Darren Williams had to be at his best to deny Tommy Rowe at the far post as The Hatters went in search of an opening goal.
There were appeals for a penalty when McNeil's shot was seemingly blocked on the line by Holloway's arm. Seconds later Heckingbotham was dismissed for tripping Keith Briggs on the edge of the area.
David Poole's tremendous cross right across the six yard line was missed by Elding and then eventually Tommy Rowe, as County's persistance continued.
Ricketts pulled off a wonderful save to deny Liam Dickinson's great effort from the edge of the area, as Bradford held on.
Conrad Logan pulled off a wonderful to deny Clarke, from a Bradford free-kick. A goal would have been very unjust.
From a Logan kick, Tommy Rowe had a chance that went just wide of the Bradford goal.
County were behind when Guylian Ndumbu-Nsungu struck home from 18 yards. It was very much a goal out of nothing and Logan would have been bitterly disappointed with it.
Darren Williams made the most of a Michael Bowler mistake to get a shot on goal as The Bantams looked to double their lead. Evans had an effort on goal as Bradford started to make the most of County's lethargy moments later.
County soaked up some pressure before creating a good chance of their own when Anthony Pilkington smashed a free-kick in from the dead ball line that bounced off the cross bar.
Conrad Logan pulled off a wonderful save to deny Omar Daley in the dying minutes, and at first it looked as if this would merely hide County's blushes. However in the end it meant a lot more when David Poole smashed the ball home from a Tommy Rowe cross to get exactly what County deserved.
