A much-improved Second Half performance won the day for rejuvinated County.

County came under the cosh in the opening exchanges with both Levi Reid and Adam Murray going close.

A mix up from Conrad Logan nearly led to an opening for Jimmy McNulty's diving header, fortunately for County it went just wide.

Paul Turnbull went close for County with a drive from the edge of the area that crept just wide.

A wonderful low save from Logan again kept The Hatters in contention as he punched away Adam Murray's shot.

Reid went close again with a wonderful run in to the area as County struggled to keep the ball.

Logan pulled off yet an other good save, this time using his colossal frame to deny Francis Green from inside the box.

Turnbull was one of County's highlights, passing the ball around elegantly in an otherwise drab County performance.

A fracas between Taylor and Danny Thomas resulted in a melee of players as tempers began to rage. Both players were booked along with Macc's Terry Duffield.

At half time Ian Brightwell would be the happier of the two managers.

Second Half

The second half started in the same vein as the first, with Macc creating a number of good openings.

An amazing save from Logan denied Francis Green's turn and shot before Gritton headed just over.

Incredibly took the lead when Dickinson met Poole's corner and thundered in a header off the underside of the bar.

County had a clear penalty appeal turned down as the confidence started to come back into their game. The Macc players meanwhile were getting increasingly frustrated, which was highlighted by Green's clatter into Taylor.

A fumble by Brain allowed Proudlock a free shot in on goal but he missed the target.

Proudlock had another shot blocked before scoring from the rebound after Brain did well to save Dickinson's shot to sent the Blue & White Army ecstatic.
