BEST WISHES - UPDATED
Whilst many fans are travelling from all over the globe to attend the Playoff Final at Wembley, we'd also like to make mention of those who are unable to make the match. If you can't make it but still want to share your best wishes, we'd love to hear from you. Click here to get in touch.

We were sorry to hear from Nigel Rickard of Edinburgh, who has a pre-booked holiday to Majorca. "I am very disappointed I am not able to go to Wembley," he told Stockportcounty.com, "but we are all so proud of what Jim has achieved on a limited budget in a short space of time. The town deserves its big day out and to be moving up the league once again."
Kev Ellison won't be able to make Monday, as he's just moved to Perth, Australia. "Good Luck to Jimbo and the lads. Give the fans something to cheer about and raise the morale of my home town!"
"As a County fan for many years I would like to wish the lads good luck for Monday!" says Steve Cooper, now of Northern Cyprus. "I'm sure it will be division 1 next season. I hope all the supporters have a good day." Steve also has a shout-out for "Russ, Dave & Nick and especially all the ex Mirrlees County fans."

Plenty of messages from Antipodean fans today, and we begin with Danny Bonsall. He's living and working in Wellington, New Zealand, and says: "Good luck lads and all the best! Do it for Sir Danny, RIP."
More best wishes from New Zealand, and Tony Gooding, from Orewa, says: "Good look for Wembley, hope this is our time!"
Next up is Chris Walsh, exiled in Melbourne, Australia. He attended the Vale '93 and Burnley '94 games at Wembley with brother Andy and cousin Pete Wellburn, who'll both be attending the game. Chris will be sticking to cheering us on from the other side of the world on TV, where the game will be kicking off well in the early hours. "Here's hoping we can break our Wembley jinx and Jimmy Gannon can once again prove what a legend he is to the County faithful."
Wayne Moore contacted us to tell us about his brother, Derek, and Derek's son Jacob. Derek is taking his son & daughter to Spain for half-term, but now has to put up with Jacob insisting that he doesn't want to go to Spain but would instead prefer to go to Wembley with uncles Wayne & Kirk, and cousins Kelly, Aaron and Kirsty. Poor lad - remember to check playoff dates next time, Derek!
Sean Graham, from Glasgow, got in touch with us with this message: "I would just like to wish Jim and the lads all the very best on Monday against Rochdale at Wembley. Lets make up for some other disappointments over the years, this is your time and your moment, go out and do it for yourselves and the club, give it all you have got and most importantly, have no regrets!"
Back to Australia, now, and Luke Ashenden. "I am devastated that I won't be there to cheer on Jim's boys. I have supported County for 18 years and made it to all four Wembley trips in the early nineties. There has been some great memories, Chesterfield away, the cup run and battering City at Edgeley. County are on a great journey and I am convinced promotion and the Championship is our destiny once more. I'll be watching the match in Sydney with a few tinnies. Enjoy the game!"

Neil Chetham will be in Fuerteventua next week, and so will miss the final. "I'm gutted not to be going," he told Stockportcounty.com, "but will be supporting the boys and my fellow Pop Siders from a bar with a big screen and a cool beer or two. Come on the County boys!"
Gary Sadler won' be able to make the game, as he's on a family holiday in Turkey. "I managed to get down to the Home of Football for all four visits with County in the 90's," said Gary, "so I'm especially gutted not to be able to make this one, especially as it's going to be fifth time lucky. What a fitting tribute to The Man from Uruguay if his Irish protege can finally give our club the win we deserve at Wembley!" However, Gary will be there in more than just spirit, as his 'doppelganger' will be visiting the pub beforehand & hopefully the match. Gary is the one on the right. Probably.
Holiday timing woes continue, now, as we hear from Jim Buckley, who'll be in Florida from Sunday. "The holiday has been booked for nearly 12 months," he told us, "and the wife's reaction when I suggested we travelled on Tuesday instead involved divorce papers. So Florida it is." However, he has a special message for Jim & the County boys:
"This season you the manager, players and club has given us the supporter's something to be proud of. The way we play, the way we conduct ourselves. This is what football is about, forget the Premiership and their foreign owners and mega money. I want my team, my manager, my players to give every last ounce to the club I support.
"I can ask no more than that, win lose or draw. This is what has happened over the past 2 seasons and I am so proud of each and every member of the club. Go out there on Monday enjoy yourselves, look up at our superb support and the effort/ passion and sacrifices they are/have given/made. If you can reproduce that, then win or lose you will all be County legends for ever more.
"Good luck and see you all in Div 1 in August"
David Maxwell got in touch with us, and expressed similar sentiments: "As a County fan living in Orange County, California, I would like to pass on my thanks to Jim Gannon and the boys for restoring pride back in my club and making us a force to be reckoned with once again!" He can't make it, but has had the pleasure of changing his cable provider just so he could see the 2nd leg of our Playoff Semi-Final in the comfort of his lounge, and will be doing the same on Monday.
We were sorry to hear from Lawrence Cross, currently in Dunstable, who won't be able to make it after being involved in an accident. He was hit by a hit-and-run driver on April 26, and is still recovering. Get well soon, Lawrence, from everyone at Stockport County.

Mark Holland lives in Perth, Western Australia. "Fantastic result beating Wycombe on Saturday, you made the town proud!"
Cpt Stuart Horton, 7th Armoured Brigade, 'The Desert Rats', is sad that he can't make it ("Bullocks apparently will not cover coaches from Basra"), but he & all the County fans currently deployed overseas will be glued to their TVs as it will be televised by British Forces Broadcasting Service.
