Here is a message County received yesterday. As a fan-owned club, we strive to have certain principles and try to act with those principles in mind, and so it is particularly pleasing when that comes across to supporters of other clubs.

"Several months ago I arranged to come up and see Brentford on the last day of the season, hoping we might have something to play for.
My uncle has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and lives in Hazel Grove but grew up near Brentford with my Bees fanatic dad, who sadly died at the tail end of last year.
He felt he wanted to watch Brentford 'live' one last time to see the old red and white stripes and as a kind of homage to my dad.
He mentioned that he had a close friend who was connected with County and he'd see what he could do about a bite to eat before the game.
When we arrived we were shown into the banqueting hall and were treated like royalty, with senior people from your club coming over to ask how we were and how he was.
Minutes later Greg Dyke, our chairman, came over and had a chat with my uncle who had tears in his eyes he was so emotional at the treatment he received.
One of your staff bought us drinks and then it was time for the game - which true to form was something of damp squib as far as we were concerned.
But regardless of Brentford's poor performance my uncle was thrilled just to be there and overwhelmed by the kindness he was shown.
In an era when football is all about big bucks, foreign stars, arrogant home grown players and Premiership glory, it is wonderful to know there are still clubs like yours where the heartbeat of real football still beats strong.
I was in the ground covering the game as a journalist when we relegated you several seasons ago, but the atmosphere was totally different on Saturday.
Thank you so much to everyone at Stockport who made us all so welcome and who contributed to an unforgettable day - apart from the result.

Good luck in the play offs.

Jim Levack"

Thanks to Jim for his message, and we're happy you had such an enjoyable day.
