CHARITIES DAY
Stockport County have teamed up with three local charities, Stockport CP, DebRA and the Stockport Multiple Sclerosis Society, to help raise their profiles and assist their fund-raising activities
And to launch this new, eighteen-month partnership, Saturday's game against Hereford United has been designated Charities Day.
Activities planned include, a bucket collection, pre-match and again at half time, plus a new, special event sponsored by Club Sponsor, Parfetts Cah & Carry.
County will also be donating £2 from every special family ticket sold against Hereford, into the fund.
All of the funds raised on the day will be split between the three charities.
Hatters managing Director, Mark Maguire, said: "We are delighted to announce this initiative, as we are acutely aware of our community responsibilities.
"It's heartbreaking to read the number of requests we for help we receive, and we see Saturday's launch as a really positive approach to focus all of our efforts on these three worthy causes over the next eighteen months.
"I hope the people of Stockport will, as always, get right behind us and that the charities will see some real benefit from the relationship."
