Stockport County Ladies Under-16s confirmed their position as champions of the Northern Division of the Cheshire Girls League on Saturday.

Goals from Sophie Williams, (3). Liane Clarke and Olivia Hockin gave them a 5 - 0 victory over Great Sutton Rangers.

The win gave them a two-point cushion, still with a game in hand and a superior goal difference.

This has been an excellent season from the girls and, in reality, they have not been beaten to date as the loss displayed in the table came about then the League awarded a fixture to Great Sutton because County had to postpone a match whilst the majority of the team attended a College Open Day!

So the only points dropped came in a draw against Bradwell Belles.

The girls now progress to play in the 'Champions League' where they meet Port Vale next Saturday - the winners of the Southern Division.

The Under-11s gave an impressive performance despite losing 2 - 1 to Manchester City in the cup.

City took the lead in the 2nd half, but Bethany Clark scored to equalise for County. City then scored in the last minute to win the game.

There was also an excellent win for the Under-10s who beat Urmston Panthers3-0 with goals from Francesca Castillo, Frances Kenworthy and an own goal.
