UNDER 16S SOUTH MANCHESTER
The SMGL Under-16s were 3 - 1 victors over Stalybridge Celtic. The game, though, was very physical and the win was marred by a number of bad injuries including one girl having an overnight stay in hospital with concussion following a kick in the head.
The girls face West Haughton in the Cup next week.
UNDER 14S
Clare Lee, (2), Holly Mottershead, (2), Tiree Vallance and Libby Nolan were the scorers in the Under-14s win over Hillgate Girls.
Cory Fritz was Player of the Match.
The girls are now in joint second place in the table.
They face Wythenshawe Town at home next week.
UNDER 11S
The Under-11s put up a brave fight against a bigger and stronger Manchester City side but lost the game 9 -0.
The girls are a very talented group who will develop into a great team in the future.
Their next game is against Unicorn Crystals.
UNDER 16S CHESHIRE
A waterlogged pitch meant that the Cheshire team's game was postponed last week but they continue to top their table with a game in hand.
Witton Albion are their opponents for next week.
SENIORS
The first team were defeated 1 -0 away to Newcastle in the Cup. The Reserves fixture at Manor Farm was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch and the Blues and HNR did not have a fixture.
GOOD LUCK
Three of our young volunteer coaches are currently attending their FA Level 1 Coaching Award at Hollingworth.
