LADIES ROUND-UP
SUNDERLAND 2 COUNTY 1
County Ladies first team suffered a 2-1 away defeat to Sunderland on Sunday. Caroline Price put County 1 - 0 up in the first half and they held this score line until the 84th minute when Sunderland equalised.
Unfortunately, a minute later, Sunderland went on to score the winner to take all three points.
GREAT SUTTON 6 COUNTY HNR 1
HNR didn't turn up on Sunday away in Ellesmere Port and were 2-0 down within the first 15 minutes.
Poor marking meant it wasn't long before they conceded a third and fourth.
Tamzin Morris was replaced early on with a thigh injury and Amy Tinsley came on to try and change things in midfield. HNR looked brighter and had some good chances to get back into it put couldn't find the finish.
The second half was much the same and HNR were 5 - 0 down shortly after the restart. Karen Weeden was ill so Kelly Wilson went in net to release Sue Walsh outfield to try and find a goal.
HNR managed to pull one back through a determined Louise Allwood who got injured in the process and had to be replaced by Dani Moran.
Great Sutton rounded things off just before the end and made it 6-1.
This was a very dull HNR performance and they meet Great Sutton again next week away in the Cup.

They came out much more strongly in the second half, though, and ended up with a 13 - 2 victory.
The goals came from Jemma Pratt, (4), Sophie Williams, (4), Jessica Finch, (2), Olivia Hockin, Cheryl Burns and Rebecca Anti.
UNDER-14s
After a very close competitive game the Under-14s lost 5 - 4 to Poynton Girls. Claire Lee, (3), and Reanne Healey were the scorers.
Player of the Match was Libby Nolan.
UNDER-13s
The Under-13s maintained their position at the top of the table with a seventh consecutive victory - this time an 8-1 win over Hillgate Blues.
The game was more competitive and entertaining than the scoreline may suggest and was another great advertisement for the girls' football.
The County goals came from Millie Turner, (2), Jodie Moir, (2), Kirsty Ward, (2), Lauren Thorneycroft and Amy Dempsey.
Player of the Match was Kirsty Cooper.
