JUNIORS

The Under-16s girls in the Cheshire League maintained their 100% record to remain at the top of the table after a 14-1 win over Crewe & Nantwich. Another excellent performance by all of the girls made it impossible to select a Player of the Match.

The County goals came from Jemma Pratt (4), Sophie Williams (4), Jessica Finch (2), Olivia Hockin, Cheryl Burns, Grace Campbell and Rebecca Anti.

In the South Manchester League the other Under-16s also played impressive football in their 9 - 1 win over Poynton girls.

The goals came from Chantelle Kelly (4), Hayley Kettle (3), Carla Yates and Claire Carr.

Player of the Match was Katie Arnfield

Clare Lee scored two of the goals and was voted Player of the Match in the Under-14s 3 - 1 away win over Wythenshawe Town.

Cory Fritz scored the other goal.

There were six different scorers for the Under-13s in what was a very competitive and entertaining clash with rivals Cadishead Sports.

Jodie Moir, Kirsty Cooper, Leah Fisher, Alex Mills, Laura Dunn and Kirsty Wardall scored in the6 - 4 victory which takes the County girls three points clear at the top of the table.

The Under-11s had a comfortable victory over Cheadle & Gatley by 8 goals to 2.

The scorers were Player of the Match Bethany Clarke (3), Chloe Ankers (2), Katie Ward (2) and Laura McDonald.

SENIORS

It was not such a good weekend for the seniors with the first team travelling to Lincoln where they suffered a 3 - 0 defeat whilst the Reserves were also beaten 5 - 0 by Blackburn Rovers.

The Blues drew 2-2 against Middleton Colts. Rachel Evans and Tuesday Porritt were the scorers.

COUNTY V TRANMERE ROVERS

County fans unable to travel to Macclesfield for the JPOT clash at Moss Rose might be interested to learn that the Ladies have their own Cheshire derby this evening.

Tranmere Rovers are the visitors to Woodley Sports for a 7.30pm kick-off.

Following their defeat at Lincoln on Sunday, County will be looking to bounce back against Rovers and your support would be very much appreciated.
