COUNTY RESERVES 1 NOTTS FOREST RESERVES 1

The reserves played their first game at their new home pitch at Manor Farm, Timperley and earned a good draw against Notts Forest Ladies.

County took the lead in the first half through an own goal scored as the Forest defence panicked on a pass into their box from Vicky McConnell. The County girls also created a number of other chances but were unable to finish and the visitors equalised in time added on at the end of the first half.

The wind favoured Forest in the second half and County had to withstand heavy pressure whilst being unable to create many chances.

The draw was a fair result on what was a superb pitch.

COUNTY BLUES 8 BARR HILL LADIES 0

Katie Race scored SEVEN goals as the Blues followed up their tremendous 5-2 win at Bury last week with an 8-0 thrashing of Barr Hill Ladies at Dialstone Lane.

Tuesday Porritt opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a well placed shot then in the 37th minute Katie Race scored the first of her seven goals, followed five minutes later by perhaps her best goal of the game, collecting the ball on the left she cut inside and along the penalty area before curling a shot over the keeper at the near post.

Katie then went on to score five more goals in what was a very good team performance with all the new young players settling in well.

There were some outstanding performances, especially from Lorna Brown and Jayde Malone.
