Jim Gannon was critical of Iain Williamson after the referee abandoned the Cheshire derby at Chester after 59 minutes.

Speaking to stockportcounty.com the County chief said: "The pitch was in better condition when he called it off than it was after ten minutes

"So if he's going to make a decision then make it after ten or fifteen minutes.

"He's obviously put the players in danger, he's wrecked the pitch and then called it off at a point when everybody wanted to continue the game.

"As professional people and professional players we are constantly subject to amateurism and I think we need to have a real look at the way the game is managed."
