JACKO WINS LEAGUE 2 AWARD
Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson was celebrating today after being named Coca-Cola League 2 Manager of the Month for February.
Jackson's team enjoyed a superb month with his side securing five wins from six league fixtures.The Imps began the month in style with back-to-back 2-1 away wins over Shrewsbury Town and Macclesfield Town.Three wins in a week against Rochdale, Accrington Stanley and Macclesfield Town ensured they ended the month in a safe mid-table position in Coca-Cola League 2.
Also short-listed for the February award were Graham Turner of Hereford United, Darren Ferguson of Peterborough United and Stockport County's Jim Gannon.
Speaking to stockportcounty.com shortly after the award was announced Jim said: "Great credit to Peter Jackson. Lincoln were down at the bottom and five straight wins is just incredible.
"I'm delighted for him; it will be a real boost to his spirits as well. He's going in soon for some treatment on his throat and we wish him well in that."
Tony Pulis of Stoke City won the award in the Championship and John Ward of Carlisle United was given the League 1 accolade.
