"For the last two-and-a-half years since I've been in charge I think we've had a lot of problems both at goalkeeper and right-back and never been able to solve that consistently.

"And if you look at the right-back position alone I believe I've used 12 or 14 players in that position since I've been here.

"We currently have problems in that positions so I think Shaleum Logan coming here for a Premiership side with Championship experience is a great addition to us.

"I'm also delighted to welcome John Ruddy back to Edgeley Park because I believe that John is the best goalkeeper we've had during my tenure at the club.

"There is an opportunity now for John to step in and fill a big hole at Accrington but more importantly if he does what we expect of him, then it gives us two quality keepers which can only be good for the team."
