ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
You can tell from the first half that we were a little bit on the back foot.
Credit to Macclesfield, though. They played really well in the first half and they stretched us.
They made our back four drop deep and the game opened up and we couldn't contain them and we were fortunate to come in with a clean sheet.
But in the second half we gave the front players much better service.
We changed the corners as well and fortunately that paid off for us with the decisive first goal.
I'm pleased with back-to-back clean sheets but I thought the two centre-backs and Conrad had to work really hard for the clean sheet today.
On any other day if we give away that sort of possession, and those sort of chances, then we are not going to get too many clean sheets.
If we want to push up the league then we've got to be much stronger defensively.
