"Character was what I was looking for, and character was what I got today.

"Now the challenge for me and the players is to reproduce this week in and week out.

"Everyone will think Wycombe were poor today, they weren't. We were excellent.

"We looked strong. We wanted to play and despite the conditions we wanted to switch it.

"As the game went on they changed shape but that helped us even further and on the counter attack we were fantastic."
