JIM ON DERBY DEFEAT
"It was disappointing to see all the effort the lads put in today and not to get the result.
"I've watched Richie's career for a long while since I was made aware of him as a kid in Dublin.
"He went to Liverpool and unfortunately for him he had some serious injuries.
"It was a match-winning display by him. Two excellent goals and although a lot of people are going to blame the right back give credit to Richie who took his goals really well and was man of the match.
"We've got a tough game next week and questions might be asked if we don't get a positive result.
"We just have to keep doing the best we've can with what we've got and have no complaints if we've given everything.
"It's a tough place to go and credit to MK Dons for what they've done there.
"But when you measure our resources against theirs you can understand perhaps why they are top of the league because they can outstrip any side at this level.
"And more importantly they have all their key players fit and strong and are able to play the same team week in and week out.
"It is a difficult phase but it doesn't take much for one game to turn, and it doesn't take much for a string of results to turn.
"But that's football and that's the great thing and the worst of football because you can play well and lose and you can play badly and win because it's all about goals.
"Success is failure turned inside out so we'll keep working, and when we turn the corner the one thing that will gratify me most of all is not proving the people who doubt us wrong, but proving the people who believe in us right."
