PILKS OUT!
Jim Gannon has been rocked by another serious injury blow with Anthony Pilkington the latest casualty.
Pilks collided with goalkeeper Conrad Logan at Manor Farm on Monday damaging ankle ligaments that will keep him out of action for up to five weeks.
It's the latest of a series of recent training ground injuries that has left the County squad a little thin on the ground.
Chris Adamson is out for a month after fracturing a finger and Dominic Blizzard, who missed Saturday's game at Grimsby with a sore hamstring, is struggling to make the weekend's clash against Wrexham.
Speaking to stockportcounty.com, earlier today Jim Gannon said: "It's a shame for the lad. He was training yesterday and flying. Conrad came out to block a shot and he's tried to skip over him and landed awkwardly.
"He's strained the ligaments on the outside of his ankle and he's going to be out for four or five weeks.
It is a big blow for the team but more importantly to the lad who was just starting to show the form that made us sign him"
