Jim Gannon is expecting a really tough game at Blundell Park but feels that if his side can play to their potential they are capable of returning home from the east coast with all three points.

Speaking to stockportcounty.com he said: "It's going to be a tricky game and very demanding because they are going to be desperate for the points.

"And it's going to be challenging for the players tactically because of the way that Grimsby play.

"They have got a flexible 4-5-1 formation. They can play 4-3-3 and they can also play 4-4-2.

"So it's going to be challenging for the players and I think it will be a good game of football but if we can play anywhere near what we can then we can get a positive result."
