A GREAT COMPETITION
Wilmslow High School and Kingsway High School have reached the Football League Community Cup Local Final.
Twenty secondary schools took part in Friday's qualifiers, organised by County's hard-working Community Foundation team, with Wilmslow and Kingsway emerging victorious.
The final will now take place during the half-time interval of County's game against Chesterfield on January 29th.
The winners will then go forward to the Area Final on February 6, which will be hosted by the Hatters' Community Foundation team, against schools representing Crewe Alexandra, Macclesfield Town, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Stoke City, Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham.
The competition, a 6-a-side event for under-13 girls, then moves onto the Regional Finals where two qualifiers will go forward to the National Final, which will be played at Wembley Stadium before the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final in March.
County's Community Officer, Mike Smith, said: "Friday's qualifiers were really competitive with some great football played.
"Wilmslow and Kingsway did very well, against some tough opposition, and I'm looking forward to watching them in next week's final."
